in a FIT

that would be quite a cool vanity registration plate won't it? and i could say i'm "in a FIT" !!! ... *giggles*

i hope to get to test-drive this spiffy-looking car tomorrow... not that i can really afford it but ... am curious after all the raves about it... hmmm i do like a hatchback... and small-ish car... with great functionality and mileage efficiency... and something i could do my parallel parking without too much misery! ...yeah i am hopeless! but it's getting better, really... =)

gosh, i am so green about car-buying/leasing... but will check out some options at a dealership or two tomorrow... eeks. oh well... at least i get to zippy-zip in the hourcar Prius for a bitty and hopefully there will be time to stop by at a TARGET! for some grocery etc. and United Noodles for some treat =)

and if the car-buying jazz fades out eventually (which isn't unlikely)... there's still the bus and bicycle and the hard-core yours truly who's tough enough to brave another wretchedly evil mid-western winter... sigh.

back to editing !!! arrrrgh.

when u go visit the dealership, ask about leasing options as well. also, check out cars on craigslist or ebay but always be able to test-drive. i think you can check out car histories on carfax.com

hmmm... was a little disappointed with the FIT... at least the used one i got to test-drive. i spotted RUST! like in the first minute! baah.
but it's a very swift car... although the change of gears and braking are just not quite as smooth as the Toyota... maybe the 2008 model might be better...?!

yeah, I have an account on carfax.com for a month... thing is though, that while it is important to check the carfax it isn't 100% reliable... sometimes minor accidents are not reported. I've been looking up KellyBlueBook for their info. and listings, and carsoup.com...

I have to visit a Honda dealer next time to check the leasing options for the FIT (they didn't have any for test-driving at the moment), but I got some info. for the Toyota. I tried a little Scion, which I thought was much smoother to drive... hmmm.

I think I need to mull on it... I like the size of the FIT though... but I have to say the Toyota interiors seem much better designed. hmm.

oh and i tried a stick-shifted Yaris --- although the gears are smooth i am so rusty with the gear changing now that i've been driving the Prius when i get to use the hourcar! everything seems less smooth... i love the Prius!!! i am so spoilt!

oh well. enough test-driving for the moment! and car-sales-personnels... for that matter! =S

Are you thinking of buying a brand-new car? If you're getting a second-hand, you could look at Autotrader. Online site that LK and I found both of my cars in.

thanks monoceros! will check that too; seems like a really good site. i haven't decided what to do; whether to get a 2nd-hand or a reasonably priced new, or lease a new... i guess i am open to all. am not sure what's best.

btw, do you remember how many miles your white rabbit had when you got it? did you like the VW GTI? i am kinda partial to the Japanese makes... Toyotas seem to rank very well on reliability and resale value and i love their fuel efficiencies.
