brrr... i am wavering in doubts now as to whether i might survive winter here... it's -12degC (feeling like 7 degC colder than it really is) currently and apparently, it will get worse tomorrow... is it truly possible?!
how starkly contrasted this is with yesterday's attempt to make warm mulled wine... i was pleasantly surprised to find quite a few people i invited to join me in the fun actually turned up despite the snow... i must confess that i was a little overwhelmed by their presence... gosh i feel like i have some friends!... hee. we were huddled in the warmth of my wee humble apartment sipping the spiced wine... nibbling away at the finger food i prepared and 'bonding' .... and we got to see some speckle of the northern lights yesterday evening too... quite magical... i didn't think one could catch it here... amazing.
but it's all gotten much colder outside... so cold i think i might not survive the sub-freezing temperatures... not even with my new norwegian woolly sweater that mum and dad sent me... oh help.

Posted by: monoceros on Sunday, 4 December, 2005 at 19:29 hrsooh, keep warm!!! But look at me, in Singapore's warm temperatures, i still get colds. So i definitely can't survive in those sub-zero climates!!!
Posted by: dimsumdolly on Sunday, 4 December, 2005 at 21:07 hrsbrrr... it's colder than cold... someone ought to make shoes that generate heat when you walk... e.g. the walking mechanism should be good enough to generate some warmth... i should patent this cool... i mean HOT idea... in fact consider it patented by hrm from this moment on! brrr...
maybe i should bring my hot-water bottle with me tomorrow...
btw if the cold would stop my neighbour downstairs from snoring i'd do anything to tolerate the chill... sob.
