with all the jabs and the mandantory skin test for TB... i am inclined to think i might have TB... one of the early symptoms of TB is lethargy... and i am feeling like a slough these days even though i keep telling myself i've got to get all these 1000 and 1 things done. thinking about them really doesn't help... i get even more stressed out. =c( i am such a nervy creature... most unnecessary! baaaah.
i don't get it though... i am sure i've got a TB skin test before and if it is 'foreign' then my immune system will act to respond... so if they re-encounter the dead-version of the virus again, it is only naturally that they react... yet that also means i am a latent carrier... i hope the chest x-ray will ease my nerves...
5-10% of latent TB carriers fall really ill at some point in their lives... oh dear.
... maybe it's the autumn pollen rekindling my hay-fever symptoms that's causing me to feel more exhausted?! oak pollens are scattering about at the moment and i get itchy eyes cycling to work in the mornings... sigh... i hate not knowing...

Posted by: monoceros on Thursday, 1 September, 2005 at 21:52 hrsi just rang the employee's health nurse here to check up on the results of my chest-x-ray... and she said all is well... i did ask her about the possibility of a stronger reaction in a subsequent skin test due to the immune-'memory' and she agreed that it is likely... so i am feeling a lot better! phew... must keep healthy!!!
