i've moved into my apartment, a wee part of 'scotland' in st. paul... with very generous help from 2 colleagues to drive the furniture i've managed to scavange from craigslist... a brilliant place to find used furniture and vintage bicycles... among other things!
i'll write more soon, when i'm less exhausted from working in the lab all day (staring at the LCD screen and fiddling with 'mice' and joysticks and strange progamming patches and discussing with engineers to get their help with my technical probs...), returning back in the evening to assemble furniture, getting things for the flat to put my things, cleaning (and laundry!), cycling about 4 miles (approximately 6.5km) twice a day from apartment to the VA medical center (us-spelling!)... and learning to embrace more work, as they keep piling up -- funding reports forms arrived today! rah...
i do end up in strange places and engaged in strange interesting activities... i assure you i didn't really plan it this way! =CP
... am still working out options re phone line or cell phone & internet options etc. ...hmmm. any advise, any one?!
