i knew i would suffer most today... after the crazy enthusiasm for going jogging around the meadows on friday evening... and exhausted my poor legs with the 5Km (thereabouts) that i covered in a slow slow jog... and then after i got back and did some stretches i found myself cleaning the floors in the flat and the common stairway -- i seem to be the only one bothered enough to clear out the mess of cigarette butts, food wrappers... etc. that litter the main door entrance and along the stairway and i do not enjoy the cleaning bit at all -- another gripe about how irresponsible people can be, or perhaps it's just the brits?! i never see such perpetual mess in residential areas in any other developed country i've lived in... which is horrifying and very disappointing if you ask me... grrr.
my legs feel so robotic today... going down the stairs is the most challenging... wobble wobble... boy oh boy... i will really need to do this more often so that my muscles will get used to it again... gosh i feel 'old'... i used to be able to do this 3-4 times a week when i was in school and i don't feel so miserable... i was so fit a very very long while back!
think i'll do some pilates for the next few days from Darcey Bussell's new book and have hot baths...

Posted by: fatgirl on Sunday, 19 June, 2005 at 18:39 hrs=c? thanks D! ...i will try to go for another run perhaps on tuesday... it's funny how mentally i could run and run but my poor legs were yelling "please stop!!!"... feel kind of 'separate' from my body... really weird. eeks!
Posted by: overacuppa on Sunday, 19 June, 2005 at 22:34 hrsMay, i hope you're doing all right. How's the visa process going? Are you still waiting for documents to be mailed back. I just started my green card process as well. sigh. its just a lot of paperwork.

Posted by: BROTHER on Monday, 20 June, 2005 at 01:26 hrsheyee! what a surprise. am trying to decide if i should take a chance and book flights; i have to wait till the visa-interview and whether they will grant the visa before knowing whether i might still be able to get a flight for mid-july... i can't do anything until then and it's really not helpful at all. imagine me sorting out my life in less than a week and then flying off to the crazy land of the supposedly free.
oh well... you still have another chance to visit when and if i get round to do my defence etc. ... (oh help!) and you must come visit me in the city of lakes!
good luck with the paper bureaucracy... it's not fun and i hope you don't encounter unhelpful admin-ppl like i did... the person just didn't comprehend anything i tried to ask/tell/instruct and that resulted in the undue delays...
otherwise i am trying to keep sane... =cP
big hugs,
sis
