put off...

i have been pestering secretaries at different levels of university heirarchy just so as i might know if the application for my study leave has been approved because i really need to get things done soon... and i am really not sure how long this visa application will take... seems like forever... the joy of paper bureaucracies!

i am so put off by the crazily long procedures in getting a visa to enter USA for a longer period than a visitor's stay... and the most annoying thing is that i might have to return to singapore just to have an interview at the embassy there. arrrgh.

it doesn't seem to make any sense booking a flight when i don't have a visa... i wonder how long i might be able to keep the reservation... dooof.

you know i really find the question:"please give your home address" terribly annoying and unspecific... do they mean current residential address or the address of one's permanent residence?

why am i so good at complicating my own life?!

bummer.

aiyoh, that's so dumb! Having to fly back to Singapore just for an interview! How inflexible can these people get????

But on the bright side, we folks in Singapore will get to enjoy your company again! :)

we'll see... it's just too expensive to fly back again... had i known i wouldn't have returned over x'mas... wasn't planning to. arrrgh... it's just great... going to USA is just like how the US gov. demands its attention... everything else i've planned ages ago is just simply playing second fiddle. really sucks.

but if i do head back... we'll have to meet up!!!

It's not possible to apply for a visa in Scotland? Bizarre. Will get to your questions on email soon!

no, the US consulate in edinburgh will not deal with visa applications or anything related with it... truly bizarre. i'll have to go down to london to try my luck... i called them this morning and it seems it might be alright... still, i'll have to wait for the institute in USA to send THE forms!

thanks for taking time to answer the Qns... hope i am not adding to your 1000 & 1 things to do!

Stay cool, tiggie. Dun be too stressed by everything. Have a cuppa and enjoy the beautiful Scottish skies!
