on friday evening, i met up with Mille, my one-time flatmate/landlady for 2 years in undergrad studies... and one-time college senior... who's flown over for a short work-related trip and took the opportunity to pop by to say hello... it's been almost 4 years since we last met. she looks just the same... no doubt now in her corporate job and being terribly professional in what she does. i seem like how i was... scruffy and still unemployed in the world beyond academia... catching up over dinner at PizzaExpress on North Bridge and over a cuppa at the Elephant House helped in bringing back memories of those good ole days... things don't change very much on this part of the world. this sense of 'lingering-as-is' is something charming about this quaint old place... for a wee while it felt as though we were back in her old flat on Montague Street...
there's so much to catch up on... but time is never really on one's side... perhaps we'll meet again soon... perhaps, not for a long while... but this wee meeting has been a nice 'surprise'! =C)
