murphy's law came to visit today as i tried to attach the cable of the beamer/projector to my laptop... and get the film going... ctrl F8 didn't work... something odd was happening... the window in which the dvd was playing emitted darkness... but everything else was projected... in the end 11 of us crowded round my little laptop and watched Joel and Clem trying to forget each other only to find themselves with each other... warmed by cuppas of earl-grey and vanilla tea courtesy of the tutor... and made by the 'blokes' in class... gosh the younger generation of women must be really lucky these days! the men -- actually C, who's german, took the initiative to make tea and the other british male felt embarrassed and got up to help... but imagine that?! the other gals were happily waiting to be served. i am impressed... brownie points for the boys!!!
