i was woken up by the postie early in the morning... a parcel from singapore arrived! -- lots of goodies inside (a chinese inkpad for the chinese seal my dad gave me recently, a set of summer outfit with simple flowery embroidery mum got for me... a face towel with a sweet rose embroidery and some spices for cooking...). i am so lucky to be receiving so much correspondences and human exchanges... last week i got a letter and poem from f with pictures on a CD which i took with the canon AE1 (that GorGor handed down to me)... most of them are pretty good --- i am rather amazed with myself (if i am allowed to be... heee because i am horrendously slow at getting the settings right-ish and well light and luminance are ever changing...) ... i also got a lovely letter and card from uncle albert and auntie helena and i actually got to speak to uncle albert on the phone when papa rang while they were having dinner at a restaurant with him and old mutual friends. and i hear from some of you dotted across different continents and cities sometimes (e.g. like on Tuesday -- i got a call from HK!!!)... oh lucky me. :C)
busy bee me today... lots of meetings but lots of discussions and i feel a little more positive about research progress or plans... but of course there is a high probability that such enthusiasm can be very easily shattered by a thousand and one possible things... the confidence level along a research path is certainly never high nor stable. it's really not very encouraging is it?! psychology 1 essays are in for marking --- joy! and i have lots of other things on my plate at the moment... eeek.
there's so much i want to read... oh how annoying!!!

(now it seems a little like harry potter!)
