monoceros has requested that i share my wish-list... here it is in no particular order of importance:
1. the discipline to refrain from procrastinating so much (except when it's spent on creative writing and artsy stuff.... )
2. tonnes of patience, tolerance and sanity to cope with research-related frustrations and the all-too-familiar glitches...
3. regular visits from inspiration
4. more time for reading, writing, thinking, practicing the cello, as opposed to programming.
5. a research programmer who will magically get all i require done in a snap and cleverly.
6. confidence and being contented with my silly self.
7. actually going to minneapolis to run my experiments.
8. receive lots of lovely letters, emails, communication of all sorts from friends and family, colleagues and especially supervisors!
9. lots of travelling adventures (e.g. i'd like to go to Nepal with ruth!)
10. get all my work done efficiently so i can get into bed and rise early!
11. that i will get to enjoy riding my lovely bicycle for years and years.
hmm....
