the creeps...

boy oh boy.... i meant to be doing some programming but i very 'stupidly' (always the case when i try to avoid the main task at hand! programming is not my favourite cuppa y'see) laid my hands on the free-copy of "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown which i started reading a few nights ago... and ... and it's so captivating i think i have to carry on, against my tensed-up nerves...(R. Langdon is being called into the Louvre and is sous surveillance cach?e; meanwhile... the strange albino person is entering Saint-Sulpice)... this is just a wee entry so i can calm my nerves...(the scenes i've somehow conjured in my flying imagination via Brown's words seem slightly real since i've been to the Louvre before and could somehow remember a few things mentioned.... )... it's reassuring to know someone is reading my nonsense... perhaps. ...breathe in.... breathe out.

That's how it was with me - I couldn't do anything aside from getting further into the book, and I kept remembering the Louvre. In his other novel, Angels and Demons (featuring R. Langdon too, and it precedes The Da Vinci Code), the plot takes place in Rome, so it was worse for me - I kept visualizing the Vatican and the various fountains. Wait till you get to the part in Roslin Chapel!! Maybe you should wait till you next bike there - bring the book with you and read it at the very place!

i must have gone mental. i stayed up all night to read more - literally frozen stiff under my soft duvet and fighting my fear (i am such a scady-cat)... am on chapter 83... i amaze myself sometimes. i am staying in till i finish this masterpiece. there are such brilliant people out there! JK Rowling is a genious too -- i watched the latest Harry-Potter affair yesterday. overwhelmed.
