a parcel full of love

"Dearest wee bonny lassie May" wrote auntie Helena and uncle Albert in their handmade card-letter from Adelaide today.....

together with it, in the reused jiffy-bag, are some very precious things... a 3-CD set of Jacqueline du Pr?'s EMI cello recordings, a beautiful dried little star-fish -- a fossicked gem!, pressed maple-like and (i think they are) eucalyptus leaves, a wee newspaper cutting on brain-empathy, a photograph of the happy couple in summer earlier in the year, and another of uncle Albert talking to a crossed black-and-white crow (it looks too big to be a magpie)!

I'm going to see Salvatore Accardo on Wednesday. Tchaikovsky's violin concerto and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring under our the SSO's new principal conductor, Gianluigi Gelmetti.

WOW!!! can i say i am envious?! Tchiakovsky's voilin concerto is lovely.... my my... i should suss out the arts programme about.... JOAN/DES/VANNY/VAN!! is there anything coming up in Summer when i return?! we must all go and catch some lovely music... jazz or classic... whatever...!

i tried to get an earlier flight back since April and there were none in time for the class-reunion. i will be back late June, will you still be around?! i hope so, i haven't seen you for years!!!
