easter monday

summer term begins today.... much to my annoyance.... because it is actually bank holiday! i was just beginning to relax and recharge.... and then whaam.... hay-fever set in and i have not been a happy camper! my poor visitor. it's slightly cheeky of the weather.... gloating with its golden glee, aided by the blooming daffodils and blue skies.... yes just rub it in... i have to be back in the department while everyone has an official free day! blaaggh.

-------------------------------------------------
decided to sneak out in the afternoon! Claire ie happy-bouncy-Claire is up visiting from England and i haven't seen her since Graduation in 2001.... hopped into a train with Ruth and travelled to Drem... some 15mins into the country-side towards Berwick-upon-Tweed where Jas, a friend of Ruth and RuthButh, grew up. i love the country-side and i have always been convinced i ought to be born a country-side lassie.... and not in a sky-scaper filled city. there, Jerry a creamy beige labrador welcomed us wagging his strong tail and almost toppling over glasses that were standing on the tea-table in Jas' parents' living room. there's something wonderful about meeting Claire, Ruth and friends... we always have so much about world issues to share.... i miss that a lot eversince leaving Atlantic College. it is lovely to have gone to see Claire, Jas and to have met their friends too. if there's anything one could truly benefit from, it is to have a dose of happee-Claire a day! wish i could bottle-up her bubbliness as an antidote to my rainy days..... come back and visit us again Claire!
