i do not enjoy programming.... and i have to do quite a bit of it in my research particularly so since i already have some data to work on.... programming may sound so incredibly amazing to those who haven't been acquainted with it but it really isn't that 'wow'... it's a kind of language... but it can also be rather 'stupid' work at times... because you can actually see how to go about doing something but to write a set of instructions, you have to be so precise with what you want it to do....while if you were actually doing it, you make a procedural rule which you repeat by dragging or clicking on things (for example). but doing it procedurally for some e.g. 30x100 trials ie 3000 if not more, is not funny..... i wish i had enough grant/funding money to hire a professional programmer to do all these annoying bits of programming for me.... it will definitely bring me back to sanity.... otherwise, i wish i could be endowed with more patience and experience....sigh.
to add to that... my plants are dying on me... the plant that came with the rented loft is dried up..... it was nearly dead when i took up my responsibility and i did manage to persuade it to live.... but then i left for 3 weeks to Germany for Christmas break...yet it seemed alive when i returned but i think i then forgot to give it some H2O or perhaps it was too cold .... so now it is beyond hope....... the peace lily i bought for the office is looking droopy..... i think it is an indication of stale air......the ventilation in the building isn't brilliant....and the ridiculous old British windows are very dangerous things.... hmm.... i don't seem to have inherited mummy's green-fingers.... maybe i should have gotten some cacti instead...

you're not the only struggling to keep plants alive at home...I've killed 2 and sent about 4 back to the 'hospital'. (Mom's place)....and you know what, they got really well....so it's not just you :) so take heart :) I found out that I do better with water-based plants....
heyee Gor,
wish the plant hospital is nearer..... bummer.
maybe i should get an introductory book to simple outdoor/indoor gardening if it exists!
