visiting the hairdresser

i am psyching myself up for my 11:10hrs appointment at KHD off south clerk street.... been calling every hairdresser i am acquainted with (not very many; there's KHD i have frequented, C'miller which is right in town, and CD which i sometimes pass by when i go round the corner) this morning about student discounts but unfortunately the offer is only valid during weekdays which is rubbish since i am supposed to be working then..... KHD had a rather nice lady answering my phonecall and the price was quite reasonable with a senoir stylish.... so i decided it would be just as well today! i will cycle across to the part of town that used to be my base some years ago....in about 20 mins... i don't exactly look forward to visiting hairdressers.... i never quite know how to deal with them.... "so how would you like your haircut?!" frankly i don't know.... something that suits me, my scruffiness, something with little or no maintenance (i.e. that i can still carry without needing to comb it?!) .... blaggh. i think this looking pretty thing is so ridiculous......why are women linked to all that fuss?! anyways.... i need a haircut. the black-ish (? or very dark brown i can't quite figure out) strands of straw is looking a little dismal.... my last haircut was in T?bingen.... more than half a year ago.... well, at least the hairwash will be fun....i like it lots when they massage your scalp.... bliss.... anyways..... wish me luck!

UPDATE:
it went alright.... i think... at least i still recognise myself! the wash wasn't brilliant though.... water dripping into my little ears... and then dripping all over the towel.... they always have the new trainees doing the wash.... some are better than others i suppose. nevermind. Teresa who snipped off some of my hair was quite pleased to hear i wear my hair 'messy'... i am glad that there was none of the bizarre blow-drying which usually pumps up my hair into a balloon making me look like some idiot ... i forgot to tell her to flick my hair outwards as i love them during what she termed as "blasting" until a wee bit late and she didn't do them enough.... but most hairdressers are just not able to do things out of the norm (maybe that's why there are people called stylists... still not convinced). i remember that the hairdresser i went to in T?bingen was so intrigued by the effect she was having so much fun doing it.... that was hilarious. anyways... one more thing ticked off the non-concrete to-do list!
