hello piano, how are you?

i was delighted (actually if i must confess....i was delirious!) to find that Ben (the post-doc) wasn't having one of his jazz-jamming sessions in the lab.....sneaked in and tinkered on the wee black electric Yamaha that actually feels and sounds very much like a grand. bliss. i have been waiting for so long....for the right moment to visit the piano which i used to play when i was an undergrad. the front panel that covers the pegs has been removed for research purposes...and i am slightly annoyed about the 'bareness' of it and also because i couldn't hold up my scores properly.... but it was fun to watch them going in and out, up and down as i tried to recall pieces i used to be able to play without relying too much on the printed sheets, some random tunes i made up as i go..... man.... those many days in the two years that have now gone by..... i have dreamt of caressing the ebonies and ivories....

what day is it today? wednesday.... maybe wednesdays are good for piano-playing.... hmm.

That's a nice image. I love to hear of people doing good things illicitly!
