i just had to note that when sales assistants or cashiers ask you, the customer, the purchaser, to "please check and sign" that they do not offer you the right slip to actually CHECK before you sign. the receipt handed to you only after you have signed for the total amount for whatever exciting things you have found yourself paying for. it appeared as if it was not acceptable to look at the receipt to check the total amount before i signed for my card transaction so i mentioned this illogical aspect to the young cashier at Boots (Pharmacy) who couldn't help but agreed to my point .... i wonder why no one in the sales corporation ever listen and watch what they do.... every sales person in every other shop/store says the same silly thing to every other person signing for their purchase....hmmm or am i being silly?!
