much to do about not very much...

had a rather crazy week.... my computer crashed...or perhaps i crashed it.....reinstalled everything from scratch over the night through morning and then realised that there was a worm when Norton antivirus scanned it again.....hmmm. i really don't think this is funny at all....if whoever out there who wants to show how good he/she is in sussing out and crashing Operating Systems and worming their way through 'virtually' please stop it!!! ....perhaps it might be better to try to be more constructive than destructive....

as a consequence of the apparent mishap... i lost a few documents...and scripts i wrote and i spent the next few days re-writing them....and i thought i could do some proper research after the long vacation i had.... i take comfort in that i have most other docs backed up.....grrrr.

a first-year's essay went missing. .... the 'central collection point' wasn't ideal...i had wanted to return the essays to my tutees personally.... fortunately the essay was found in the end....it was apparently in another class' envelope and should never have been....i attribute the unnecessary stress to whoever who took it to her own accord to reduce the number of envelopes in the pick-up box ....

the new harddisk i get for the office is a Pentium II....it is rather slow...still doesn't run the programmes i need properly.... i am giving up asking for help. i don't seem to have much luck with computers these days! arrgggh.

the dynamo light of my bicycle was fixed but it makes such a loud buzz.... everyone can't seem to help turning round to check what/who is making all that noise....hmmm perhaps another trip to the bicycle co-op....

caught up with the number of copies of Guardian Weekly which i haven't read while i was away....it is actually much more relaxing having the paper in front of you than trying to read it off the screen....

Ruthbuth and Margaret came over for breakfast.... we had biscuit-like mini bagguettes because i left them in the oven for too long....oops...it's nice to catch up.... we did our psychology degree at Edinburgh uni....and are pursuing slightly different things...Ruthbuth is finishing her Speech Therapy course soon, while Margaret is trying to get into the Clinical Psychology course....i am still doing non-applied stuff like a PhD.... although am thinking of doing something more applied later....possibly Music Therapy...if there's some sort of a scholarship for that...hmmm.

i should perhaps start revising for the German Exam on Monday morning.... why i even bother when i am taking the class for fun is a mystery....

anyways....

Good luck for the German exam! and hope things get better. I'm clinging hard to that belief these days...things (and the weather) HAVE to get better. =)
