i have been meaning to say this earlier.....but other mundane and seeminly urgent tasks and obligations have prevented me from doing so.....nevertheless....better late than never!
.....in some sort of chronological order...
* to Uncle Albert and Auntie Helena whose letter-card awaited me in the white letter box which i get to call my own, welcoming me into my new home when i arrived back in Scotland ....and another long and loving letter a week later, sharing some of their thoughts and observations and giving lots of encouragements?.
* to Frauke who sent some sunshine greetings via her postkarte von T?bingen....Edinburgh has enjoyed some lovely sunny spells even in October!
* to Mummy and Frank who tolerated my moaning when all the administrative bureaucrats couldn't seem to get things right.
* to Papa for the nifty phone that arrived in the post. (i really don't deserve it!)
* to Joan for her phone-call from Sydney, updating me on bits of her life.
* to Ulli who returned my copy of "To kill a Mocking bird" in a package from New York, enclosing a lovely postcard...and another letter within an envelop with Halloween stickers stuck on the front! and enclosing photos of her in New York with my brother Wee and his girlfriend LiAnne!
* to Desiree who sent a lovely Susie's Zoo card and a very touching letter. Thanks Des!
* for all the other lovely greetings i received from e-mails and over the phone....
...................................it's lovely to know...that i should occupy some of your thoughts at times................
